Without stepping into the mire of review solicitation, you can encourage customers to click the link and go straight to giving a review. How fantastic is that?

Google My Business Direct Bookings Now Available

Although frustrating that this is US only, local businesses being able to take bookings direct from search is fantastic.

This means local businesses can take at least 1 or 2 clicks out of the funnel, which almost always improves revenue and conversions.

Hopefully, it’ll go global soon.

Google Posts Added to Google My Business API

I’m really pleased that Google has finally added Posts to the GMB API. It makes them useful at last.

It’s partly due to the way of rolling out projects, and partly due to Google being a bit silly at times.

Either way, I think these Google Posts have a real opportunity to help webmasters gain more SERP real estate, and increase click-throughs and action.

I love this new feature from Google!

At last you can edit your Google My Business listing directly in search.

You can’t edit everything, and you need to be logged in to the right account.

This is a really good way to reduce friction for keeping Google listings up-to-date and correct.
